Basic White Sauce

Basic White Sauce (This takes 15 minutes)
One pint of milk
Four spoons plain flour
2oz butter or margarine
Put the butter or margarine in the medium saucepan over a low heat and add a quarter of the milk, then the flour and whisk it immediately to stop any lumps forming then add the milk a little bit at a time whisking it in.
Keep stirring with a wooden spoon until all the flour is combined and as the mixture heats up it will thicken.
Use it straight away or it will keep for a day in the fridge.
